PM Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana 2021 has been announced by the Central Government on 1 February 2021. In the Union Budget 2021-22 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, it has been announced to start PM Aatm Nirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana. The Self-Reliant Healthy India Scheme will be implemented in the next 6 years with an outlay of Rs 64,180 crore.

Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana 2021
The Union Budget for the 2021-22 session has been announced by our country’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on 1 February 2021. In the Union Budget 2021-22, it was decided to launch Aatm Nirbhar Swasth Bharat Program. The health sector of the country will be further strengthened under this scheme.
The central government has set a budget of Rs 64,180 crore under this healthy and self-reliant India program. This budget has been set for the next 6 years. Areas such as hospitals, labs, etc. will be developed through this budget. Through the Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana, a lot of attention will be given to research. So that the citizens of the country can be protected from diseases in the near future.

Areas of Aatm Nirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana
This new scheme will be included in addition to the National Health Mission (NDHM) earlier launched by PM Narendra Modi. The new PM Aatmnibhar Swasth Bharat Yojana will be useful in the following areas:
- Develop the capacity of primary, secondary, and tertiary care health systems
- Strengthen existing institutions
- Construction of new institutions to detect new diseases
- Institutions create new emerging diseases for treatment.
Program under Aatmnibhar Swasth Bharat Yojana
Under this Self-Reliant Healthy India Scheme, an integrated public health laboratory will be established in 3382 blocks of all districts of the country. Public health units will also be set up under the Aatm Nirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana. Under this scheme, hospital blocks will also be set up in 602 districts.
An Integrated Health Information Portal will also be established under the Self-Reliant Healthy India Scheme 2021 and 117 additional public health units will be opened. In addition, assistance will be provided for existing public health works. Under the health sector, 1 Emergency Health Emergency Operations Center and two mobile hospitals will be set up.
Health Infrastructure Development Under This Scheme
The Finance Minister has emphasized the development of healthcare infrastructure in the post-Kovid world. For this purpose, Smt Nirmala Sitharaman mentioned that there has been a considerable increase in investment in health infrastructure. The areas of preventive health, curative health and welfare will be strengthened over the years through the PM Atam Nirbha Swachh Bharat Scheme.
The central government is going to provide Rs 35,000 crore for the Covid-19 vaccination program in 2021-22. The Central Government of India is committed to providing more funds if needed. Today, India has two vaccines available and has started to protect not only its citizens against Covid-19 but also the people of 100 or more countries.
