An infected person will also be provided full treatment of COVID 19 (Coronavirus) under this government scheme. This free treatment of symptoms of Coronavirus disease will be available to the beneficiaries through various packages of Ayushman Bharat PMJAY.
All people with COVID 19 disease can now get free treatment and screening facilities at Empanelled and other designated hospitals. The National Health Authority (NHA) COVID will be the nodal agency to provide treatment to 19 infected individuals.

Symptoms for which free treatment is available under Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY include pneumonia, fever and inability to breathe. Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana i.e. Ayushman Bharat the insurance of up to Rs 500000 is provided per family per year. This health insurance facility is for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization for over 10.74 crore poor and vulnerable families across the country.
