SDMC (South Delhi Municipal Corporation) started the Delhi Atal Jan aahar Yojana 2021 to provide full plate meal to poor people for just 15 rupees, which includes Chole, Pudi, Halwa, Rice, Rajma, Chapati, etc., recently SDMC approved the proposal to provide one plate of food for 15 rupees. Now the people of Delhi will be able to get one-time meal easily in cheap price, this food plate can be obtained for only 10 rupees and 15 rupees.

Delhi Atal Aahar Yojana 2022
The Delhi Atal aahar Scheme has been started in 2021 in Delhi to provide a plate of food for 15 rupees. The Municipal Corporation of South Delhi on 22 March 2021 approved the proposal to launch a full plate meal scheme for 15 rupees. The Standing Committee of SDMC proposed a plan to reintroduce the Atal Jan Aahar Yojana, which was first launched in 2017.
According to the plans of the Municipal Corporation, people will get a thali (food plate) at the rate of Rs 15 per plate. The South Delhi Municipal Corporation had earlier started a food project with 5 kiosks, but was halted last year amid COVID-19 lockdown. Now as per new reports, around 40 kiosks will be installed at various locations in South Delhi. The civic body plans to resume the project which started in 2017-18.

Under the Atal Jan Aahar Yojana, people from the lower-income group will be at the center of the project because, due to financial constraints, they are mostly part of unhealthy food which puts their health at risk. As per the proposed proposal, 10 kiosks with inbuilt kitchen mobile vans (IKMV) will be initially placed in each of the four zones. The Standing Committee proposal also reflected that it would increase or decrease the number of kiosks in each region depending on the need.
The maximum rate for breakfast will be Rs 10 and lunch will be Rs 15. Breakfast on the menu will include rice and lentils, raita, and roti stuffed paratha. The state government also said that no chairs of any kind will be allowed at these kiosks. According to the report, the kiosks will sell lunch from 8 am to 11 am and from 12 pm to 3 pm.
Food At Rs 15 Scheme: Meal Timing
Food will be provided by the Delhi government from 8 am to 11 am and from 12 am to 3 pm under the Delhi Atal Jan Aahar Yojana. In this way, food will be given to needy people twice so that they do not sleep hungry at the night.
This scheme will be run in major places of the city such as railway stations, bus stands and the highest priority will be given to hospitals and this food distribution will be done with inbuilt kitchen mobile vans , due to which people will be able to get food easily everywhere
