The Uttar Pradesh government has launched the UP Kisan easy Kist Yojana from 1 February 2020. Under this easy installment scheme, farmers can pay their outstanding tubewell electricity bills in installment. According to the Energy Department of Uttar Pradesh, the interest waiver will also be applicable on the tubewell bill.
Every farmer can now avail Kisan aasaan kist yojana by visiting his nearest CSC or Customer Public Service Center or by applying online through the methods mentioned below.
Only those farmers who pay their tubewell electricity bills on time, only those farmers will be able to avail of this Uttar Pradesh Kisan Asan Kist Yojana. This Kisan Easy Installment Assistance Scheme is going to benefit farmers as well as electricity suppliers. Electricity supplier companies will get the outstanding amount of their bills, while farmers can pay their bills in easy installments without any interest.

Kisan Asan Kist Yojana 2022 – Now farmers can pay the tubewell bill in Easy Installments
The Department of Energy of the UP Government has introduced the facility to pay the outstanding electricity bills in easy installments under the UP Kisan Easy Installment Scheme. This facility comes with an interest waiver on farmers’ bills.
All farmers will not have to pay any interest on tubewell electricity bills till 31 January 2020. The principal amount will be paid on bills by 31 January 2020 in only 6 easy installments.
Under the UP Kisan Asan Kist Yojana, farmers can pay the principal amount of their outstanding electricity bills from 1 February to 29 February 2020. Farmers can avail UP Kisan Bijli bill Maf under their nearest CSC, Sub-division. Officer or Executive Engineer Officer. Farmers are required to deposit 5% of their outstanding electricity bills or a minimum of Rs 1500 with their current tubewell electricity bill.
Later, farmers will get the option to pay the outstanding electricity bill in 6 easy representations. Every month, farmers have to deposit their installment with the electricity bill for that month. The interest of the farmer will be waived on the timely payment of all dues.
The previous phase of the UP Kisan Asan Kist Yojana was ending on 31 January 2020, which has now been extended till 29 February 2020. Till date, more than 20 lakh farmers have availed this UP Easy Installment Scheme for payment of tubewell electricity bills.
All the consumers who have received notice for recovery of bill payment under Section 5 can also avail the benefit of UP Kisan Ashaan kist Yojana. Also, litigants with pending cases in courts will also get benefits under this scheme. . Farmers will have to submit an affidavit that they will pay all bills after the final settlement of arrears. A bill amendment is also proposed under the Kisan Asan Kist Yojana to benefit the farmers.
