Features of Kusum Yojana

Distribution of solar pumps – The main objective of the Kusum scheme is to provide solar pumps to willing farmers. According to the government, 17.5 lakh solar powered pumps will be made available to farm laborers under this scheme.

Agricultural workers only have to bear 10% of the total cost to get a solar pump installed. The central government will provide 60% of the cost, while the remaining 30% will be borne by the bank in the form of a loan.
