The Minister of State for Social Welfare and Social Education has implemented the Tripura Chief Minister Matri Pushti Uphaar Yojana under which the government will provide free nutrition kits. Approximately more than 40,000 pregnant/lactating women will benefit from the nutrition kits, and each kit costs approximately 500 lei.
Pregnant/breastfeeding women in Tripura will further benefit from the new Pradhan Mantri Matru Bandana Yojana scheme where Rs 5,000 will be provided free to each beneficiary after the birth of their first child.

Tripura Mukhyamantri Matru Pushti Uphaar Scheme
Tripura government launched Mukhyamantri Matru Pushti Uphaar Yojana for pregnant women on 25th June 2020. Under this scheme, the state government provides absolutely free nutrition kits to pregnant women and lactating mothers across the state. This CM Matru Pushti Uphaar 2023 scheme is part of the state government’s efforts to combat malnutrition and maternal mortality. The state government will spend approximately 8 million lei per year for this initiative.
To strengthen the fight against malnutrition of pregnant women and infants, by the Government of Tripura for the women of the state Chief Minister Mother Confirmation Gift Scheme 2023 It started. Under this scheme, the state government will provide free nutrition kits to pregnant women and lactating mothers. Its main objective is to reduce the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in the state.

Mukhyamantri Matru Pushti Uphaar Yojana In 2017, the state government will provide a free nutrition kit to all pregnant women in the state. This scheme will transform the state of Tripura into a model state and ensure that the rate of malnutrition and maternal mortality is reduced in the state.
The main objective of this scheme of the state government is that the physical development of all the pregnant women in the entire state can be continued properly so that the mothers do not have any kind of weakness and are free from malnutrition, so the government provides nutrition kits free and the entire cost will be borne by the state government. Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana 2023 Through this, women will also get an assistance of Rs.5000.

Free Nutrition Kit: Each nutrition kit will cost Rs 500 and will contain food and grocery items. These include peanuts, soybeans, mixed beans, brown sugar, and other items. These nutrition kits will be distributed to pregnant and lactating women absolutely free of charge.
Rs 5000 Assistance: Women will also benefit from PMMVY scheme under this scheme where every woman will get free assistance of Rs.5000.
free test: All pregnant women will have to undergo a periodic check-up at the nearest Primary Care Center. Free nutrition kits will be provided to pregnant or nursing mothers after each visit to the Primary Health Center (PHC). Pregnant women will be tested 4 times at the nearest PHC and kits will be issued after each test.
Government has released a new update, now it will be available under this scheme as well
The government revised the scheme again in 2023. Now, as per the new rules issued under the scheme, children suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM) were given 4 eggs per week. Now, in the revised guidelines, 6 eggs per week and 20 grams of jaggery and 200 ml of milk will be provided for six days in a week.
