- Increase in income and local employment (resulting in a drop in migration for employment).
- Improvement in product quality and skill development.
- Changing products in an artistic way (through packaging, branding).

UP ODOP Programme
The One District One Product (ODOP) program was envisaged and subsequently inaugurated on the day of Uttar Pradesh Day on January 24, 2018 by Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Yogi Adityanath. The objective of this project by the Government of Uttar Pradesh is to encourage greater visibility and sale of indigenous and specialized products / crafts of Uttar Pradesh, thereby generating employment at the district level. In this project, a particular product is selected from each district of Uttar Pradesh.
The product selected under ODOP is traditionally famous for production and manufacture from that particular district (e.g. लखनऊ, ज़ारी-जरदोजी और चिकनकारी के लिए प्रसिद्ध है). Many of these products are GI-tagged, meaning they are certified as being specific to that region in Uttar Pradesh. The manufacturing process of many of these products is also eroding community traditions that are being revived through modernization and publication.
Under the ODOP project, loans are given to artisans, production units and unions concerned with selected products, setting up of common facility centers, providing marketing support so that these products can be popularized and employment at district level Can be generated.
The Forest District One Product Program aims to create product-specific traditional industrial hubs in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, which will promote traditional industries that are synonymous with the respective districts of the state.
