PM Garib Kalyan Rojgar Scheme
PM Modi government has decided to launch Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana. This large-scale rural public works scheme will empower and provide livelihood opportunities to migrant workers and citizens residing in villages.
To begin with, PM Garib Kalyan Rojgar Yojana will be launched from village – Telihar in Khagaria district of Bihar. Apart from this, the Chief Ministers of the other 5 states as well as the Union Ministers of the concerned Ministries will also participate in the virtual launch of PM Garib Kalyan Yojana.
In this poor welfare employment scheme of the government, villages of 116 districts of 6 states will be included in this program through Common Service Center (CSC) and Krishi Vigyan Kendras. These CSCs and the Center for Agricultural Sciences will maintain social distance norms in the wake of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic.

Under the scheme, pucca houses will be built for the poor in different villages, plantations will be made, shelters will be constructed to keep animals, roads will be built and along with this, to get drinking water Water life mission will also be taken forward, almost all of these have been included under the development work plan.
Broadband cables will also be routed to the village to reach the Internet at a faster and cheaper rate in the village, with the government providing a package of 50,000 crore for Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Rojgar Yojana.
The people of the village will be brought forward to do all these tasks, so that they can get employment, different jobs will be received by the people to complete different tasks, ie any person who is skilled in the work of that type. Employment will be provided.

Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan has been officially launched on 20 June 2020. This campaign of the government will be 125 days and will work in mission mode. Accordingly, the last date for the Prime Minister’s Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan will be 22 October 2020.

The PMGKRA Rural Employment Campaign will involve intensive and focused implementation of 25 types of work. Providing employment work to migrant workers is the main objective. Apart from this, the government will also focus on building infrastructure in rural areas of the country.

Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan 116 districts in 6 states (including 27 aspirational districts) have been selected for the implementation of the scheme. Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Odisha are the names of states to implement the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Yojana.

Earlier on 5 May 2020, PM Modi also introduced PM Garib kalyan Yojana (PMGKY). In this economic package, around 39 crore people have received financial assistance of Rs 34,800 crore among the Covid-19 lockdowns.
