PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan 6 Pillars
For the implementation of this scheme by the central government, work will be done mainly on 6 pillars. These six pillars of the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti-National Master Plan are as follows:
Dynamic: All Ministries and Departments will now be able to visualize, review and monitor the progress of cross-sectoral projects through the GIS platform, as satellite imagery will give on-the-ground progress from time to time, and progress of projects will be updated. This will help in identifying critical interventions for augmenting and updating the master plan on a regular basis on the portal.
Comprehensiveness: It will cover all the existing and planned initiatives of various Ministries and Departments with a centralized portal. Each department will now have visibility of each other’s activities providing critical data while planning and executing projects in a comprehensive manner.
Priority ( Prioritisation ): Through its projects through the various departments cross-sectoral interaction will be able to prioritize.
Optimization: The National Master Plan will assist various ministries in planning projects after identifying critical gaps. For moving goods from one place to another, the planning will help in choosing the most optimal route in terms of time and cost.
Synchronization: Different ministries and departments often work in silos. There is a lack of coordination in the planning and implementation of the project which results in delays. PM Gatishakti will help in coordinating the activities of each department as well as the various layers of governance in a holistic manner by ensuring coordination of work between them.
Analytical: The plan will provide complete data at one place with GIS-based spatial planning and analytical tools having 200+ layers, providing better visibility to the executing agency.
