Latest Update: 27 projects including Haryana and Punjab have been approved under the scheme for value addition of Integrated Cold Chain and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Yojana (PMKSY).

Approved projects include Andhra Pradesh (7), Bihar (1), Gujarat (2), Haryana (4), Karnataka (3), Kerala (1), Madhya Pradesh (1), Punjab (1), Rajasthan (2), Tamil Nadu (4) and Uttar Pradesh (1). The 27 projects will leverage a total investment of Rs 743 crore to build modern, innovative infrastructure and effective cold chain facilities for the food processing sector and help increase efficiency and stability in India’s food supply chain.

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana 2020

The Government of India (GOI) has approved a new Central Sector Scheme – Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (Scheme for development of agro-marine processing and agro-processing groups), with an allocation of Rs 6,000 crore for the period 2016-20 is.
