Shri Amarnath Yatra 2021
Amarnath Yatra: The Himalayan pilgrimage is the oldest organized travel system, developed over time by Hindu sages and embodies the spirit of wandering, adventure and spirituality ”. One of the holy trinity, Lord Shiva is a living God. Rigveda, India’s most ancient and sacred book, makes its presence known in his hymns. Vedic myths, rituals and even astronomy bear testimony to its existence from the dawn of time.
Lord Shiva is worshiped in the Himalayas. He neither built a house nor a shelter, either for himself or for his wife Devi Parvati. Shri Amarnath Yatra is organized in the month of Shravan and starts from Pahalgam and Baltal on specified dates. The start date of Amarnath Yatra has been announced. Chairman of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha announced the date of the yatra during the meeting of the board members. The yatra will start from 28 June and will run till 22 August.

Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Date
This year, the 55-day Amarnath Yatra starts on 28 June 2021 (Ashadh Chaturthi) and ends on 22 August 2021 (Shravan Purnima – Raksha Bandhan). The registration process starts from 1 April 2021. Accordingly, people can register online through the 446 branches of PNB, J&K Bank and Yes Bank.

Shri Amarnath Yatra 2021 Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC)
Every traveler has to submit an application form along with a compulsory health certificate (CHC) to obtain a travel permit for the journey. The format of the application form for registration and compulsory health certificate is made available online by SASB.

Amarnath Yatra Bank Branches List
Keeping in mind the safety of pilgrims and the capacity of hill tracks, only 15,000 pilgrims are allowed to travel daily for the Shri Amarnath Yatra 2021. This means that Pahalgam-Chandanwari track and Sonmarg-Baltal track will be each. It is permitted to register 7500 every day. Regulating SASB has made it mandatory for all pilgrims to register well before embarking on the journey.

Shri Amarnath Yatra FAQ’s
The average cost of the Amarnath Yatra starts at around Rs 15,000 with basic inclusion per person. However, it is a nominal cost.
Anyone under 13 or over 75 years of age and a woman with a pregnancy of more than six weeks is not allowed to register for the trip.
