UP Krishak Durghatna Yojana 2022
The Uttar Pradesh government has launched the UP Chief Minister Krishak Accident Welfare Scheme for the welfare of farmers. Under this accident insurance scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government, financial assistance will be provided to the family of the farmer who died or crashed while working in the fields.
This new Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana will replace the existing “UP Chief Minister Krishak Durgatna Life Insurance Scheme” in Uttar Pradesh. This decision has been taken by the UP government in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 21 January 2020.
In case of death of the farmer, his family will be provided a compensation of Rs 5 lakh under Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana 2022. About 2.38 crore farmer families are going to benefit from this new government insurance scheme. And at the same time, the Baatidars will also join the UP Chief Minister Krishak Accident Welfare Scheme, which works in the fields of other persons and share the crop after harvest.
The Yogi Adityanath-led UP government has decided to implement Chief Minister Krishak Durgatana Welfare Scheme 2022. Durghatna Kalyan Yojana Offline Prosses
Farmer’s family members can write an application to the district officer to take advantage of the scheme. This application should contain all the detailed information about the incident with the farmer. The written application should be submitted to the Tehsil office within the time frame given above. After proper verification by the authorities, the assistance amount will be transferred to the farmers or their family members on a case-by-case basis.
Kisan Durghatna Kalyan Yojana Online Prosses
At present, there is no online process available for this scheme. Currently, if anyone wants to take advantage of this scheme, then they have to follow the offline process but to implement the scheme successfully, the UP government will soon have a plan for the scheme. Will launch a dedicated portal.
After the portal is launched, people will be able to register online on the UP Mukhyamantri Kisan Durghatna Kalyan Yojana portal. Mukhyamantri Kisan Durghatna Kalyan Scheme Eligibility
To become eligible for UP Chief Minister Krishak Durgatana Welfare Scheme, the candidates have to fulfill the following conditions issued under the scheme:
- Under this accident insurance scheme, a person whose age is between 18 and 70 years will be covered by the family of the farmer.
- The farmer and his family must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh to take advantage of the scheme.
- The character of Durghatna Kalyan Yojana will be only a poor poor peasant family.

This Kisan Durghatna Kalyan scheme will cover the following persons:
- Account holder / co-account holder, farmer
- The farmer includes mother, father, husband, wife, son, daughter, son-bride, grandson, and granddaughter.
- Landless farmers who cultivate land taken on land.
- Sharecroppers who work on the other person’s fields and share the crop after harvest.
Deadline for application Under This Scheme
All farmers or their family members can apply for UP Chief Minister Kisan Durgadhan Kalyan Yojana within the given time limit:
- The application will have to be submitted within 45 days after the date of accidental death/disability of the farmer.
- However, the district officer may give an additional time of 1 month or 30 days.
- Applications submitted after 75 days will not be accepted.
Assistance Amount Under This Scheme
In case of death/disability of the farmer, nominees of his family will get the assistance of Rs. 5 lakhs under UP Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana. If the farmer already comes under the Prime Minister’s Life Insurance Scheme, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, then the total amount given to the farmer’s family will be the remaining amount.
Like- If a family gets 2 lakh from another insurance scheme, then the state government will pay the remaining 3 lakh rupees under UP Chief Minister Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana so that the farmer can get a total of 5 lakh rupees.
