Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched the UP Sadhu Pension Scheme 2021 for the saints. Now all the saints will get monthly pension under Mukhyamantri Sadhu Pension Yojana, for which the state cabinet has approved earlier. Yogi Adityanath in a high-level meeting recently has decided to organize special camps for saints to enroll saints under the first of its kind government pension scheme.
Homeless or nomadic sadhus are going to include all the saints in the UP Sadhu Pension Scheme 2021. UP CM Yogi has also decided to create a special category to include elderly sadhus. This scheme of the state government of Uttar Pradesh will be helpful for all those sages who either leave their homes and live outside or are living the life of a wanderer, this decision of the state government is much better for the sadhus.
Objective of Uttar Pradesh Sadhu Pension Scheme
The primary purpose of announcing the UP Seers Pension Scheme 2021 (Sadhu Pension Yojana) by the state government is to provide better livelihood to the old, disabled, widow, and sadhu of the state. The UP government has started enrollment of the sadhus of the state under the UP Sadhu Pension Yojana from January 20. All sadhus/saints above 60 years of age of Uttar Pradesh state will be covered under UP Sadhu Pension Yojana 2021. Assistance amount under UP Sadhu Pension Scheme
