The SWAYAM Portal (Www.Swayam.Gov.In) run by the Central Government is an initiative of the Government of India to digitalize the education system and take it to remote areas. The SWAYAM portal offers free online courses and 32 SWAYAM DTH channels across the country. This portal has been launched to cover all students who are untouched by education.
The government wants education to be spread with quality throughout the country, so the government’s effort is to further improve education as well as to advance education with digitization.
The government is promoting the SWAYAM portal (Www.Swayam.Gov.In) to pursue this endeavor through which teachers can register themselves on the portal to improve or gain knowledge about a particular subject.
The objective of the Ministry is to provide high-quality E-Content to all colleges and universities and to make the student available free of cost through the SWAYAM portal.
The SWAYAM platform has been developed by MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) with the help of Microsoft, which offers around 2000 courses and 80000 hours of learning in various streams.
Such as Engineering, Law, Post-Graduate and Under-Graduate Courses as well as vocational courses including Academic Study materials are also available from class 9th to 12th.
Learners can choose any course according to their needs, interests or profile. Courses can be accessed online by registering on the Swayam portal. And for this, the student has to either manually register themselves on the Swayam Portal
Or through social platforms like Facebook, Google or Microsoft, you have to enter the “self portal” dashboard, only then a student can get all information and e-content related to education
